What is the minimum order for custom coins?
Coinable custom coin orders start at 50 pieces. Tooling, die or mold preparation, setup and production make custom coins a manufacturing project rather than a single-piece product.
What is included in Coinable online pricing?
Coinable’s current online custom coin pricing includes professional graphic design, die or mold setup, and U.S. shipping. Your configuration and quantity determine the current project total before checkout.
Do I need finished artwork before I start?
No. If you have a logo, sketch, reference image, existing coin or rough idea, it can be developed into production artwork. If you already have artwork, Coinable can adapt it for the manufacturing method and options selected.

What is the difference between a round coin and a special-shape coin?
MINI BOSS – Custom Coin Maker separates the two main construction paths:
- Round / Die Struck — a traditional round challenge coin starting point.
- Special Shape / Die Cast — for custom outlines, more complex forms and high-relief 3D possibilities.

What metal finishes are available?
Popular options include antique gold, antique silver, antique bronze, shiny gold, nickel, shiny bronze, black nickel, matte finishes and two-tone combinations. The best finish depends on the artwork, relief, color and the look you want.
See the custom coin metal finish guide
Can custom coins have color?
Yes. Depending on the design and selected product, color and surface options can include soft enamel, hard enamel, transparent enamel, glow pigments, UV printing and epoxy coating.
Can I use 2D or 3D relief?
Yes. 2D relief works well for defined raised and recessed levels. 3D sculpting is useful when the artwork needs rounded contours, faces, dimensional objects or high-relief depth.
Are custom edges and specialty features available?
Yes. Available options can include rope edges, diamond-cut edges, reeded edges, edge text, numbering, cut-outs, spinning centers, multi-piece construction, bottle-opener features and other specialty treatments, depending on the coin design.
How long do custom coins take?
Timing depends on the artwork approval date, production route, selected features, sample requirements and shipping allowance. Coinable’s Daily Delivery Calendar on the home page is the best place to compare current production paths against the date you need your coins.
Do I approve the artwork before manufacturing?
Yes. The production artwork defines the size, shape, relief, text, finish, color and other manufacturing details before the coin moves into tooling and production.
How long is my die kept for reorders?
Coinable keeps active dies on file at the factory for three years. Reordering within that window helps keep an existing coin tied to its original tooling. After the retention period, die work may need to be recreated.
Can I reorder an older Coinable or eMilitaryCoins.com coin?
Yes. Returning customers can contact Coinable to locate and prepare a previous project for the current reorder workflow. Reorder availability depends on the project record and tooling status.
Can I see examples of coins Coinable has made?
Yes. Visit Coins We’ve Made for public-safe examples of custom coin work and manufacturing choices.
